A Summary of the Book

        This book starts out at Eddie's home. Eddie has to leave his house because his parents are really sick--they are yellow. So he has to go with his Uncle Jack and his Mad Aunt Maud. He goes into a carriage with them and they are really weird. After driving in a carriage for a long time they finally get to St. Horrid's Home for Ungrateful Orphans. It is a very scary place were you would not want to be. There is a cow float in the orphanage. Mad Aunt Maud was the person who lived in the cow float. She dies at the end of the book.
