I direct the programs in gifted education in the School of Education at Maryville University in St. Louis, including both graduate and pre-collegiate programs. The programs benefit from the input of the Maryville Gifted Education Advisory Board, a diverse group of regional gifted education stakeholders that convenes twice annually.
Graduate programs in gifted education:
1. Master of Arts in Education: Gifted Education
2. The fifth-year bridge program leading to the MAEd: Gifted Education
3. Missouri Gifted CertificationPre-collegiate programs:
1. Young Scholars, with grant funding from the Saigh Foundation and the Dana Brown Trust
2. The Maryville Summer Science and Robotics Program for High Ability Students
3. Expanding FIRST LEGO League to Diverse Schools, with a grant from the Trio Foundation
I also work with the university to co-sponsor events from organizations that benefit the gifted, including FIRST, Project MEGSSS, and several local school district gifted faculty.
